There is an increase in the number of data security breaches all across the nation.

Hackers are increasingly targeting not only banks and government agencies, but also schools and health care organizations.

As more of our personal information becomes digitized we will probably continue to see a battle to find ways to protect this important information.

TECH STATE

Mass_June 2008.jpgWhere's the most tech savvy state?

Looks like the Silicon Valley and California has the name, but not the title.

The power is on the East Coast.

BYE . . . BYE . . . LAPTOPS

Thumbnail image for Laptop_June 2008.jpgYou know that new laptop you just bought may be obsolete already.

It seems that new technology is moving towards making your smart phone even smarter and smaller.

I guess the future is now.  Smaller and smarter technical products will continue to change our world today and in the future.

Of course, you don't have to give up your laptop, but you might have to spend more money.

"TALKING TECHNOLOGY WITH LEROY JONES, JR." - THE PODCAST

As many of you know in my other life, I wear a few other hats. I am the host of the, "The PoliticalJones Report with Leroy Jones, Jr." radio show, and also a lobbyist.

So it was a natural progression to start a Podcast on this site. This new show is called, "Talking Technology with Leroy Jones, Jr.", and our goal is to continue, "Making You Aware, and Keeping You Informed".

We will reach out to folks from all over to see how technology is changing how they work, play, and live.

Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for DJ BOOGIE_WAMO.jpgThis week we kick off the show by discussing the issue of radio and technology.

Recently, I had the opportunity sit down with the Program Director of WAMO-FM in Pittsburgh, DJ Boogie. The station is owned by Sheridan Broadcasting Corporation, which also airs my radio show, and they are also a client of my lobbying firm.

Please enjoy the first Podcast, and please feel free to send me any suggestions and ideas for other shows.

What did you do with your old cell phone?

The other side of this booming technological revolution is the disposal of older and outdated equipment.

There is global concern about what to do with all of this stuff.

It's an issue that we all have to deal with and help solve.
